The situation
An online publication runs on a publishing platform with its own database and media library. Losing either would mean losing years of writing, and the editors had no way to know whether a backup would actually restore.
What we run
- Hosting in the European Union, with updates applied and tested.
- A full backup every night of the database and the images together, so the site can go back to any recent night as a whole.
- Restores tested on a schedule on an empty system, so a backup is known to work before anyone needs it.
- Monitoring around the clock, including an alert if a nightly backup does not run.
The result
The editors write; NetSaaS keeps the site up, current and recoverable.
